The restaurant's standout dishes often mentioned include their crispy fried carrot cake and uniquely flavored chicken feet, complemented by well-balanced beverages like the signature 鸳鸯 coffee-tea blend. Gave a homely feeling by the staff, good service. Quite cooling with some aircon. The food are generally good, especially like the fried carrot cake which is crispy and the chicken feet which is different from the usually red or black sauces. Will come back again
love the dim sum here. was able to walk in and get a table in the morning without no queue. choosing the dish was quite straightforward. ample variety and the fried carrot cake is a must get!
The dim sum we ordered today were all good to our liking. The shop was a little rundown but the service and food were impressive. I will definitely come back here for the food. The 鸳鸯 drinks were also nice. Not many people know how to make 鸳鸯 with good balance between coffee and tea. Happy breakfast.
Food rating note: Average - 2.5/5 My comfort food - 5/5 No frill traditional taste dim sum. The 排骨 is the sweet type. Not my plate. Their bao skin is fluffy and soft. Fried stuff is average. Go to the front to order the steamed items. It will be placed on a tray for you to bring to your table. The fried stuff is placed inside a shelf just beside the steamed item counter for self-service. Recommended items: Har gao - 4/5 Siew mai - 4/5 Otah - 4.1/5 Egg tart - 4/5 The food average at 3.8/5
Serving handmade dim sum daily at Johor Bahru town. Always packed with people, weekend will expect a longer queue. Tips: 1) find a table or seat 2) go to steam dim sum counter to order directly and pick up on your own 3) return to seat and order drinks 3) there is another queue near the cashier for take away The restaurant is old and located at busy area. Car park is difficult to find. Or you can park your car inside Plaza Pelangi mall and walk a short distance. We ordered most of the common dishes as per photo for 2 adults. Our choice are the “大包” big bun, shrimp dumpling 虾饺 and century egg porridge 皮蛋粥
Old school dim sum. Food is pretty decent and flavourful. Price around 5RM for porridge, 5.50 per plate of Dimsum. Not bad.
